The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Senior Project Manager In this role, you will be responsible and accountable for the successful execution of assigned projects including but not limited to large- and small-scale museum exhibitions, event activations, corporate tradeshows, and branding opportunities. Main duties include strategizing, developing, and executing project plans within budget, schedule and quality requirements, ensuring adherence to the design intent and project requirements and bringing proactive and innovative solutions to the challenges that naturally arise during custom fabrication.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of projects by proactively directing, managing, and owning successful outcomes for financial, time, resource, and quality performance.
- Collaborate with internal staff (e.g., Production Manager, Technical Director, Team/Department Leaders, etc.) to ensure understanding of all project details, expectations, and critical path deliverables.
- Understand and follow 1220’s Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for Project Management and interface with other Departments via their SOPs and the 1220 Process.
- Review project scope, budget and schedule for compliance within the parameters of the design intent and estimated costs and in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements (i.e., ADA, building codes, UL listing/certifications, etc.).
- Develop and maintain budget projections, including +/- risk assessment for cost, schedule, resource and quality. Mitigate risk.
- Oversee installation and closeout procedures including being physically on project sites intermittently or for the duration of the installation phase.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Requires a College Degree and/or 5+ years of relevant project management experience in the industry.
- Museum/Architecture industry experience or museum/architecture management experience a MUST.
- Requires proficient computer skills, specifically the utilization of Microsoft Office programs.
